My mind was spinning. Everything blurred together in an amorphous sense of dread. What do we do now? In the meantime? Can I rest for a while?

In the work Can I rest for a while? the characters seem to be asleep, dreaming or awake. The scene is a nonlinear, endlessly looping play. It’s not a story, perhaps a sort of long rumbling of things, dwelling in the absence of something. Nothing changes, it’s an endless mumbling. Like a dream it’s a thing that has no material quality, it has no origin, no sources, it is generated, like a spell, a substantive reality. It’s a series of instantaneous states, without situation, in a place separated from the world, like the experience of dissolution. Mechanically and interminably, like immobile and disoriented movements, the gesticulations are those of a sleepwalker. The scene is set in a perpetual present, held in the moment. Like a dream, the impression of adhering, of bathing in a world, starts to fail.
